Pacific Coast Christian School has been successful in applying for Federal and State government funding to assist in developing the school. Below is a snapshot of grants we have operating within our school. If you would like further information, please click on the links.

Embedding Excellence is an evidence-based approach to school improvement developed by the Association of Independent Schools of NSW to support independent schools through a collaborative process of self-evaluation that involves looking inward, looking outward and looking forward.

This approach traverses five phases: Engage, Explore, Plan, Enact and Refine. Three entry points are identified that enable schools to engage in the process at the most appropriate phase.

Embedding Excellence supports schools to develop and enact a comprehensive school plan which leads to meaningful action, innovation that transforms what we do and embedded excellence.

Literacy and Numeracy Action Plan 2013 – 2016

In 2013 the school was selected to be part of a grant to improve the teaching and learning of literacy and numeracy in the Junior School. We were able to spend the funding on professional development for staff in the school and effective resources to be used in the classroom. This grant has been most appreciated and has changed the way English and Mathematics is taught in the school. We have the data to prove that the results of our students have improved dramatically since we put the Action Plan into place. The school is very grateful to the NSW State government for funding the project and also the AIS NSW for tall of the support they have given us.
