Over The Years

History of Pacific Coast Christian School

Through adversity, we have grown from humble beginnings, to become a contemporary Prep-12 school campus with 500+ students.

Humble Beginnings

Pacific Coast Christian School started as Lakeside Christian College in 1993, rising to meet the need for Christian education in the Tweed Heads region. It grew progressively over a 14-year period, spread across two campuses with 400 students.

God’s Hand in the Wilderness

In Term 4, 2007 Lakeside Christian College experienced a huge setback and was placed into receivership. The following six months were like a wilderness, but God’s hand was over this Christian Education ministry.

A Lifeline from God

In April 2008, Dr Ted Boyce, Executive Principal of Pacific Hills Christian School, was prompted to reach out to the leadership team at Lakeside Christian College, offering a lifeline that would lead to God’s rescue of the school.

Pacific Coast Christian School

In 2008 Lakeside Christian College became part of the Pacific Group of Christian Schools and was renamed Pacific Coast Christian and has grown to become the flourishing Christian Education community it is today. Our school is now a Prep-Year 12 school with 500+ students with a Master Plan for continued expansion.
